Almost Heaven Seneca 7’x7′ DIY Barrel Sauna Kit
The Almost Heaven Seneca is made for comfort. Measuring 7’x7′, it is a full foot wider than the standard barrel sauna and can fit up to six people—or enjoy all the extra space solo!
The Almost Heaven Seneca also has wider benches, which can hold people, water, towels, and even logs if you opt to upgrade to a wood-burning heater. This sauna comes with a larger glass door—enjoy the extra foot of natural light!
The Almost Heaven Seneca 6-person barrel sauna comes standard with a Harvia 8kW electric heater, which gets the space up to 180ºF and beyond. The sauna can start heating right away, or you can delay the start time by up to eight hours. Stretch out solo in all the extra space or invite friends or the whole family to join; the choice is yours!

Options & Customizations
Lumber type:The Almost Heaven Seneca 6-person barrel sauna is built with solid rustic cedar. Rustic cedar has a slightly red hue amongst the knots and boasts a pleasant cedar aroma. You can choose between red rustic cedar or onyx rustic cedar (stained). All three lumber options of the Seneca 6-person barrel sauna are 1 ⅜” thick to insulate the sauna room.
Vista rear window: This is one of our saunas’ most popular glass features. Open the barrel sauna interior to breathtaking views with the addition of the vista rear window. This 20” x 36” piece of 3/8” glass sits on the back end barrel, above the electric heater. Let more natural light in your sauna!
Door style:The Almost Heaven Seneca has a larger glass door.But you can outfit your sauna with any of the following three door options: deluxe glass, wood door with a window, or all-wood door.
Heater: The Almost Heaven Seneca 6-person barrel sauna comes standard with an 8kW electric, and you can upgrade it to a Virta deluxe heater or a wood-burning heater with a chimney kit.
Care & Maintenance
Traditional saunas require very little upkeep. Simply wipe down the interior after each use and check for any dust or debris that you may have tracked in.

Compared to Almost Heaven’s standard barrel sauna, the Seneca requires mid-level handyman and assembly skills are recommended for this sauna. Minimal sawing or modifying certain components may be necessary during the assembly process. Two people can generally do the assembly in 6-8 hours. It is recommended that you review the installation manual in advance to familiarize yourself with the process.
Two Ways to Enjoy Your Sauna
Heater and stones are essential sauna accessories for a traditional sauna experience. With the room at least heated to 160ºF, the traditional sauna can be enjoyed in two ways. The first is called a dry sauna, which lacks any added moisture. The second is called a wet sauna, where you sprinkle water onto the heated stones to create a refreshing burst of steam and added humidity.
