The popular Essex barrel sauna comfortably seats 4 people. Coming standard with the Harvia KIP80B 8 kW heater, it is large enough to host our more powerful heaters, both electric and wood-burning! (The Essex is the smallest Almost Heaven barrel sauna that can accommodate a wood-burning stove.)

- Port Window – Ahoy! Adding the Port Window to your sauna gives it an especially nautical feel, and allows you to feel cozy while being able to view the elements outside. It also permits a perfect amount of natural light to illuminate the interior of your sauna, making it feel more open. This classy window is a wonderful addition to your barrel sauna!
- Door Type:
- Glass Door – The standard door for our Almost Heaven indoor or outdoor saunas is the glass door. The tempered glass door allows for an open and spacious atmosphere inside of your sauna. Also included is a cylindrical stainless-steel handle. The large, easy to open handle is designed with smooth wood on the interior and stylish stainless steel on the exterior. The wooden handle stays cool while the sauna heats up,, and the stainless steel adds an elegant contrast to the natural wood of your sauna.
- Wood Door With Window – A perfect balance of added insulation and ambient light, it’s ideal for locations that see near or below freezing temperatures. Keep your heat in with this upgrade!

Shipping
We choose to ship this via flatbed, however, it can ship LTL upon request.
Care and Maintenance
Same as all other barrel saunas! Traditional saunas require very little upkeep. Simply wipe down the interior after each use and check for any dust or debris that you may have tracked in. Read more about long-term care and maintenance here.
Assembly
Some basic handyman skills are helpful when assembling the sauna. The only additional equipment needed is a cordless drill. Two people can generally do the assembly in 6 hours or less. It is recommended that you review the assembly manual in advance to familiarize yourself with the process.
